Windowsでプライバシー設定をしようとすると、設定箇所が多岐にわたる他、レジストリを直接編集しなければいけないものもあり大変です。「O&O ShutUp10++」を使えば、それらをまとめてワンクリックで設定することができます。この記事では、O&O ShutUp10++の使い方と注意点について解説します。また、設定項目の一覧とその日本語訳を表にまとめました。

O&O ShutUp10++とは
「O&O ShutUp10++」とは、ドイツのO&O Software社が提供する、無料のWindows設定ツールです。
セキュリティやプライバシー保護性能を高めたり、単純に邪魔な機能を無効にしたりすることができます。
「ShutUp10」という名前ですが、Windows 11にも対応しています。
システムの復元ポイントの作成
「O&O ShutUp10++」は、200以上の項目を一括設定でき、とても便利ですが、若干作りに雑なところがあります。
「適用」や「戻る」という機能がなく、いきなり設定が反映されてしまうため、ダウンロードする前に「システムの復元」の「復元ポイント」を作成しておくことをおすすめします。
Windowsで「復元ポイントの作成」を検索し、「作成」をクリックします。
何の復元ポイントかが分かるように名前を決め、「作成」をクリックします。
「閉じる」をクリックし、完了です。
ダウンロード
「O&O ShutUp10++」にインストール作業はなく、実行ファイルをダウンロードするだけです。
公式サイトにアクセスし、「Download」をクリックすれば、すぐに「OOSU10.exe」ファイルがダウンロードされます。
日本語には非対応
起動すると、このような画面となります。
フランス語やスペイン語に変更することはできますが、残念ながら日本語には対応していません。
下記に日本語訳を掲載していますので、参考にしていただければ幸いです。
現在設定のエクスポート
起動したらまず、「File」-「Export settings」から、現在の設定をエクスポートしておきましょう。
システムの復元ポイントは作成していますが、あちらは最終手段です。
中身はこのようなテキストファイルとなっています。
おすすめ設定
「O&O ShutUp10++」には200以上の設定項目があり、それぞれ「推奨（yes）」「限定的（limited）」「非推奨（no）」の3つに分けられています。
一つ一つ設定するのは大変なので、「推奨（yes）」だけ一括設定することをおすすめします。
「Actions」-「Apply only recommended settings」をクリックします。
システムの復元ポイントの作成を勧められます。
作成済みなので、「いいえ」をクリックします。
今回は101個の設定が変わったとのことです。
「わかりました」をクリックします。
ここが少し分かりにくいのですが、「適用」や「実行」等はありません。
「Exit」とするだけです。
Windowsアップデートをすると、設定がもとに戻るかもしれないとのことです。
その場合は、「O&O ShutUp10++」を再実行してください。
いくつかの設定は、PC再起動後に有効となります。
「Restart Windows」をクリックします。
元に戻すには
設定を戻したい場合は、「File」-「import settings」から、エクスポートした設定ファイルを読み込みます。
その後、再起動が必要となるでしょう。
「Actions」-「Undo all changes」は、以前の設定ではなく、Windowsの初期設定に戻ります。
最悪、システムの復元から戻すことも可能ですが、他への影響もあるので、過信はしないほうがよいです。
個別の追加設定
一括のおすすめ以外で、私が個別設定した内容をご紹介します。
全て「limited」です。
「no」で設定したい項目もありましたが、問題が発生するかもしれないため、見送りました。
